The Gärtnerplatz Theater has been a local institution in the Bavarian capital for more than 150 years.
In October 2017, the building was reopened after a general refurbishment.

The lighting concept of the theater was fundamentally reconsidered in the course of the renovation and expansion: Daylight, architecture and lighting now form an inspiring ensemble – not only in the hall, but also in the rehearsal rooms.
The arrangement of the Più R alto 3d luminaires in the orchestra rehearsal room follows the extraordinary structure of the dome. Different lens inserts, available especially for this luminaire series, compensate for the varying ceiling offsets and create a consistent illumination through different light emission. The Più 3d joint allows targeted lighting design even on sloping mounting levels.

In the audience area, the LED spotlights Più R alto come to effect. The luminaires are elegant and discrete in design and ensure, in particular, vertical illuminance along the boundary surfaces – and thus clear illumination of the area.

The classic design of Sento parete doppio further supports the appearance of the theater’s box office and accentuates them with perfect light.
