A little gem that is hidden and secluded, even though it is located at the heart of Munich’s Thalkirchen borough. This natural paradise truly lends an air of wildly majestic beauty. Intentionally scattered pools of atmospheric light gently escort nature through the night, and the outdoor luminaire series Sito transports the exceptional standards for light and design quality to beyond four walls.

The place that was once used for servicing steam locomotives is currently home to Uwe Binnberg’s newly interpreted Isartal Werkstätten located in Munich’s Thalkirchen borough. The historically protected brick complex is surrounded by a garden that features a wild and natural design and is nestled in the spacious open area that was once the Isartal Train Station. Hidden and secluded, a natural paradise unfolds as the intentionally scattered pools of atmospheric light gently escort nature through the night, and the outdoor luminaire series Sito transports the exceptional standards for light and design quality to beyond four walls.

Outdoor lounge elegantly showcased

Generous glass fronts open in the direction of the inviting lounge area, thus allowing the inside and the outside to merge into one space. The overall effect is further intensified with Sito verticale serving as a wall luminaire that casts characteristic beams of light upwards and downwards, as its indirect light seamlessly draws the inviting lighting atmosphere to the cosy terrace area. A uniform light color of 2700 K, combined with the best light quality of CRI 97 provide for a consistent lighting mood both inside and outside.

A look at nature

Elegant in form and appearance, the Sito palo bollards along the coarse house facade convey the exceptional standards for light and design quality from the living space inside to the nature outside. Its shining light caresses the facade like a soft hemline and transcribes the indoors to the outdoors. This creates visual points of reference in the spacious garden in the evening as well, while also welcoming back the elegant flair it exudes in the living room.

Immersed in captivating light

The architecture found in the garden is largely characterised by whimsical bushes and grasses. They are selectively illuminated by Sito basso floor spotlights, which create little domes of light that reproduce the aesthetic structure of the garden even at night, while concealing something magical.

Elegant companions

Sito palo luminaires guide people with light through the seemingly wild garden. The matt black bollards elegantly complement the garden concept while casting an optimal blanket of light over the paths.
