Munich, Feburary 2019: Occhio, the maker of design luminaires, started off this year with Lutz Coelen as a new member of the management team. Coelen has served as CFO and COO in various medium-sized companies and now supports the Occhio team as head of the entire operative business.

Since January, the management board at Occhio is once again complete: As an additional manager of the Munich-based maker of design luminaires, Lutz Coelen is responsible for the operative business that encompasses the areas of operations, supply chain, finance and controlling, customer care and IT. Thus, Coelen is part of the management team, alongside founder and CEO Axel Meise.

Lutz Coelen has extensive experience as a consultant, financial officer and commercial director of expanding medium-sized businesses. These include the manufacturer of high-resolution video security systems MOBOTIX AG and groups active in the luxury segment such as RUNGIS Express and Kofler & Kompanie. He has considerable expertise pertaining to management and implementation in corporate groups.

In April 2017, Occhio brought growth investor EMH Partners on board to promote dynamic development and unlock the brand's vast potential. As part of the expansion strategy, the Occhio brand presence will be initially amplified throughout Europe and ultimately extended into markets such as North America and Asia in the medium term. At the same time, the project business and selective sales through retailers will be intensified, and investments will be made to complement the product portfolio and further digitalize the value chain.
