Munich, October 2018: Sublime design, fascinating features, innovative lighting technology - Occhio is expanding the award-winning Mito luminaire series with two exclusive highlights: With the Mito largo and Mito raggio arc luminaires, Occhio is launching two true design icons at the end of the year, which make a strong statement in interior design and impress with their intuitive functions such as touch-free gesture control and colour temperature adjustment.

Awarded gold by the jury of the German Design Award in 2017, the Mito luminaire series combines sublime design with unique features and thus became a design icon in interior design shortly after its market launch. With its finely defined "cut", the artful workmanship and attention to detail is particularly effective and makes Mito look like a filigree piece of jewellery.

Occhio is now completely reinterpreting the successful luminaire series with two elegant arc lights: Mito largo and Mito raggio make an expressive statement in interior design. The characteristic ring-shaped head floats weightlessly on the tapered, minimalist carbon body. Mito largo is ideal for glare-free lighting in living and lounge areas. Mito raggio also cuts a good figure in reading situations. Six elegant surfaces give the luminaires their incomparable look - including rose gold, bronze, matt gold, matt silver, matt black or matt white. The carbon body is available in white or black.

Magical functions, inspiring light effects
Mito largo and Mito raggio can be switched and dimmed as if by magic directly on the lamp head using the "touchless control" gesture control. With "up/down fading", the light is distributed continuously between uplight and downlight. Alternatively, the Occhio air app or the air controller via Bluetooth ensure maximum operating convenience. With "color tune" for situational adjustment of the color temperature, the light adapts to practically any mood - from warm lighting atmosphere for relaxed evening hours to stimulating cool work light. The light colour is infinitely variable between 2700 and 4000K.

Due to their sophisticated lighting effect with directed glare-free light downwards and broadly abstract indirect light upwards, Mito largo & Mito raggio are perfectly created for the living and lounge area. With single or double-sided distribution, different lighting scenarios can be created, as the uplight and downlight can be operated separately.
